Florence is very important even for the history of music. It’s here that, thanks to the Camerata de’Bardi, the melodramma (the grandfather of the Opera) was born. Great Prince Ferdinand loved music and he had an orchestra, while under him Bartolomeo Cristofori, the inventor of the piano, was working. In this guided tour we will visit an important section of the Fine Accademy museum, the Museum of Music Instruments: in the collection you will see even a Stradivari’s quartet. We will make a journey in music history (remeber that the tetragram, the first code to write music, was born in Tuscany) and in the history of the city, and we will have the opportunity to meet a liutist and to see how his fascinating work is made.
