Siena is unique even when we talk about religion. It is a city of blessed and Saints (St. Catherine from Siena, just to nominee one of the most iconic catholic saint), a city with four patron saints but with just one real vocation: Virgin Mary. Virgin Mary is the protector and the queen of the city, and the Cathedral is entitled to Her; to honour Virgin Mary one of the most beautiful italian painting was made, the famous Majesty made by Duccio. In this tour we will visit the Cathedral, in which sacred and profane meet; the Opera del Duomo Museum, to see the Majesty and to have a spectacular panoramic view of Siena; the Baptistery, one of the best example of Biblia Pauperum, in wich artist such as Ghiberti, Donatello and Jacopo della Quercia worked on; and the Crypt, discovered just few years ago, a unique place that has been sealed for centuries and still preserves old frescoes with unbeliaveble bright and vivid colours.
